If you get a chance to visit Paschoe House drop what you’re doing and go. Drop your knitting, drop your cat off at a neighbours house (you can bring the dog with you), drop your plans to declutter the kitchen cupboards, drop those leaves your scooping up… drop the beat and go! It’s enchanting. With the right autumnal afternoon, you’ll feel like you’ve ventured into a film set that’s a bit Jeeves & Wooster, a smidge Alice in Wonderland, a touch Great Gatsby and a dusting of Twin Peaks.
Tabitha, the GM (boss, bad-ass go getter and absolutely lovely person) cares as much about making her guests /diners feel relaxed and wrapped in luxury (an advocate of a decadent bubble bath) as she does every square inch of the hotel, a former family home. And myself and few lucky ducks, found ourselves absolutely charmed by her knowledge of the history of the building and her journey to that of ‘the hotelier’.
With a fantastic restaurant headed up by Chef Alex Gibbs (formally The Royal Clarance) this is certainly on my wish list of places to stay & dine. Thank you x
